My name is Sydney, and I am thrilled to be one of the newest stylists at The Rare Bird.
I have nearly four years of experience behind the chair and have proudly served clients throughout the Alexandria area for my entire career. I specialize in soft, lived in blondes and low maintenance dimensional color, creating effortless and natural looks that grow out beautifully.

As a stylist, I am deeply committed to creating a calm, welcoming, and personable experience for every guest. My goal is always to make you feel heard, respected, and completely at ease from the moment you sit in my chair. Thoughtful consultations and intentional work are at the heart of everything I do.
Outside of the salon, I love experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen and spending as much time as possible with my dog, whether that means long walks, hikes, or a serious game of fetch. I also enjoy easy travel and quick weekend getaways, especially trips to my favorite beach town, Charleston. On slower days, you can usually find me thrifting, browsing antique stores, or picking up a new craft or skill just for the fun of learning something new.
I am so excited to continue serving the Alexandria community at The Rare Bird and cannot wait to welcome both new and familiar faces into my chair.
